...inhumanity.....

Most of us live with our heads in the sand. We live for the moment. For a moment of satisfaction of acquiring that beautiful handbag, that coveted pair of shoes or that satisfaction of that sweet, delicious lust of food.

Most of us lack empathy, although not from pointed deliberation, more from the lack of that twinge in the heart to feel for others. We are mostly consumed by the word "I" or "Me" and less affected by the offerings of "You" or "We"...

We have the talent of creating visual blinkers, we ignore that poor man by the side of road, begging for food, for home. We bypass that cry for help, worried that the unfortunate events that beget that person may somehow be contagious...

We sometimes forget that we are human and that humanity is a word derived from human and it means the quality of being humane; kindness; benevolence..

If we lack all of that, what are we then?

If we lack all of that, what are we then?
ty of being humane; kindness; benevolence. We failed to remember that we are humane...
