Our World in Peril and we stick our heads deep into our @#$

The upside is, there is a very small group of us that is concerned enough to say "We're screwed"..but then most of us have the NIMBY attitude....

David L is right, we ARE screwed, well and truly...Just because environmental/climate issues are problems that is NIMBY (not in my back yard), most of us live our lives with blinkers on! For those of you who have children, WAKE UP! We are destroying our world in such a rapid rate that wildlife is dying out, marine life faces great jeopardy and our planet is in a continuous incline of generating heat which will eventually destroy us! Government should find healthier alternatives than using fossil fuels, incentives for recycling and tighter logging rules, but the reality of that happening is equivalent to one pixel size on a full electronic page..

COP15 may turned out to be a monumental waste of money. Developed countries is showing not much effort to have the Kyoto Protocol in place and trying to do away with it all together...Looks like capitalism again reared its ugly head and this multi-headed monster will not be killed...

So to quote Douglas Adams "Goodbye, and thank you for all the fishes..."
